would this be opposite the stadium of light where the coal tugs was docked ,if so its very deep water there ,i have fished the opposite side and had small codling in the summer ,coalies and flounder

its opposite the stadium where the 2 big coal tugs used to dock. Got talking to a few dog walkers who said that they often see coddling coming out a decent size.

sounds to me like you were in the rite place at the rite time as the usual stamp of codling along there are tommies usually just under size,so you done well:)

is this directley behind the pub winstons if so ive fished there a few times and only managed flounder and eels so you've had a great seshion there, welldone to you and your friend
