Had a look down Rocky Island with a mate last night, started fishing around 9.45. It was slow going on the ebb, I only managed a couple of big slugs & my mate got a tommy codling, but otherwise very quiet.
Then just after the tide turned (around 12.45) got straight into a double shot of podlers as soon as baits hit the bottom & it was a podler a cast for the next 4 casts - taken equally on runnydown & crab. Most were borderline size/undersize, but the last one was about 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 lb. My mate struggled but did get a lobster, but we let him go in a rock pool. Also saw a couple of lights on Sluice Beach, & a couple in Collywell Bay (looked to be around middle skeer) - don't know if it was anybody off here.
Packed in around 2am - just a shame there weren't a few nice codling around
Cheers, Gary
