Hi all,
Just getting into coarse angling (right in time for the close season:() and am looking to buy a 13 foot float rod and centre pin reel for trotting in the rivers down south. I ve had a canny look online, but just wondered if anyone could give a bit of advice on here. What's good, what's bad etc?
My knowledge of coarse gear is poor.
Budget: no more than £150 total.

Thanks for any help,
Ross:)

Try and get a century float rod , I have a old 13 foot one and it's still perfect for trotting , if your new to it get a old abu 506 closed face reel , easier to control than the center pin and you can get them at a good price .
Good luck and tight lines

Try a DAIWA TOM PICKERING CONNOISSEUR 13' Stick or Waggler, second hand off the likes of ebay there is a new version on there now, Daiwa Connoisseur G Match Waggler Fishing Rod - 13ft - CNGM13W-AU

Good luck
Steve

If your fate a budget centrepin, for the price the Marco cortesi at £29.99 from dragon carp is excellent. That leaves you a good chunk of money for the rod (anything by drennan works well!!).
