rod help

hi all, im after another rod, mixed to rough ground, a past rod i had was the sk4 14" 5-7oz which i quite liked,and i was wondering if anyone on here has tried the newer nct 14" 6oz, are they similair action, stand good in strong tides etc... any help appreciated.

Have a look at the leeda icon rods they do 3 types the match, power, or ultra power cracking rods mate I got the ultra power very powerful excellent for mixed or rough ground I got mine off dave in the trading post for £135 rrp is £169 mate

I had a loan of a 6oz nct for a little while - quite impressed for what it was; very light indeed and nice with a 5oz & crab bait off the fish quay. I'd say it's really a clean to light-mixed ground rod, certainly not for rough ground. The action is also very different to the sk4, more through actioned but with a crisp recovery & it certainly sat nicely in the tide. I know they're currently prototyping the 7oz version which will be geared more towards rough ground.
