normally i buy glow sticks for me night fishing for the end of me rod, they are like six inches long used to get them from the co-op 5 for a quid....... heard stories on dust cap ones and alsorts... today when going round no frills, longbenton (diy store), found glow sticks 15 for a quid(big long ones around 5-6 inches).... also seen some wallpapering scissors the sharpest and most well built scissors ive seen for 89p, hope this helps any budget anglers like myself !!!

glow sticks are in the kids stationery section.

now all i need to do is get out fishing, but first got to fix the car which needs a new exhaust and just my luck its an exhaust with a cat, bad bad times. :(

I use pund shop scissors, pack of 4 for a quid & they gut a fish in seconds without falling apart. Very impressed

I use the dust cap ones all the time, just bought 8 from ebay for £4.00, delivered today, just use elastic to tie them on and they only flash when the tip moves so saves batteries.

What are the dustcap ones mate?, is it them with the bells?

get the cheap non refill lighters from the pound shop with lights in the bottom, 5 for £1. they are bright and last ages! theres still one on my rod and its been on since tuesday.

I see em, anybody used them & can u get em that stay lit & if so do the batteries last long. I bought some of the ones with bells (6of em for a fiver) & only 3 worked for a whopping 2 hrs. I am currently using an mk4 tip light but my mate needs 1 so these cap lights might be the shot
