hello folks, i would be glad of any advice, danson angling are sellig the zziplex primo and zziplex 4500 for £200, could these rods be used for rough/rock/kelp. my other option is the team daiwa TDXS130XM, cheers.
Was watching Henry Gilbey yesterday pulling Huss through thick kelp using a TDXS 130XM. I have the lighter and slightly shorter version which is the TDXS 129PM which is a great rod.
It should have the backbone to do what you want - the XM is designed for rough ground conditions and powerful tides (according to their website).
Hi Big_Sean
Did you buy the Syncro from Macky? do you use it much. Was thinking about getting one myself, Macky complained about the rods action, just wandered what you thought about it?
Mike..
hi austinsoft
no i didnt buy the rod of macky as it was a primo not primo syncro and i had it a few years back
but for realy clean ground it would be ok but i didnt like it on the holderness
The only Diawa capable of dealing with the very rough stuff is the TNXS 142m. I also have a TNXS 134m which is an excellent pier or beach rod. Diawa make excellent beachcasters which are often undervalued by North East anglers. I think they are great!
kevinb now is the time to buy ur new rod m8 there will be loads going 2nd hand i was in I.D chilli road yesterday and there was a kompressor grand prix for £135
