well me and coddy decided to hit roker 2day to see if roker lives up to its name of producing big fish the first day its open after a good sea, well it was proved right but sadly not by us, gareth gardiner managed a great cod of 11lb 1 oz shortly followed by his m8 barry robson of 1 just shy of 10lb which he was very lucky to get coz just 30 mins earlier a seagull took his rod over the pier, luckily for him i managed to fish it out for him but the funny thing is he was the one who managed to get mine out the other month when mine went over , also another good cod of over 10lb caught down the barrier, just a few whities and a dab for me and coddy blanked but not for the lack of trying, baits used blacks, rag,lug, razor, macky and mussel, gareths and baz's cod both fell to fresh crab and blacks coctails

yes unfortunatley i blanked but enjoyed the day out ,but was happy to help out on the 11lber at the stairs getting it onto the step ,it just felt good enough holding it lol

some nice fish there alright for some huh, shame there wasnt any that size or even smaller for me last night. keep it chaps.

well they werent bitin last night i was on till 330 am an only had a whitie nice bit swell on gale south east wen a left ,i was on roundhead ,tryin to fulfill my destiny but it never appened lol,think soneone ad one about 2 pund earlier behind tha wall ,never mind i tryed

i`m gonna have to get on there one day, sounds like a good mark, what are you fishing onto just sand or is there rock there as well

hi m8, the roundhead is just sand m8, from the last set of steps up to the roundhead fishing the seaward side has got rocks and kelp but a cast of over 30 yards will clear them, the rest of the pier is mainly rocks and kelp on both sides so dont forget ya rotton bottoms

aye maybe your right m8 il try that next time if i can ,me baitups were massif trying to tempt a sample ,it lashed down about 3 0 clock blarn a total gale but i still enjoyed it, the buzz of the big uns what i eard about get you in the zone pmsl
