Fished 7 til 12 on the ebb from the bunker, blacks and squid for bait on 2 hook flappers with lumi beads on 2 rods. Got bites from the off, decent Coalie, loads of whiting, a pout and a flounder. Must have had easy 15 fish. Kept the coalie, a whiting bout 1.5 pound and a few others. Spent a further 5 hours gutting, baking, flaking, peeling and boiling Taties, chilli, ginger, garlic, corriander, spring onions, flour egg n breadcrumbs, wrapping and freezing for a pile of 30 tremendous fishcakes that none of the women in my life will eat. Too fishy apparently, even tho th missus tried the Whitey on it's own which she said was lovely! Fooks sake! If it ain't cod, it ain't got a chance. Funny creatures, women that is, fish are much easier to understand
