fished roker pier with beach boy . lack of fresh worms availalble so out came the frozen baits. used salted worms/frozen blacks/peeler/squid and frozenf fish too. wind was horrible /imposible to detect bites. was cold too. loadsa folk walking off clearly unhappy with small whiting . had nowt except for last cast a pouting or poor cod ...i think its pouting but nee piccys as its still on beachboys phone. was released back in the water. and my hands looked like i have just been glitter sprayed. not the best fishing start to 2012 but at least its not the commonest of species here in the northeast.. the hunt for cod continues. thanks for reading and tightlines...
