Roker area yesterday

Me and me mate Jimmy fished 3pm till 10pm yesterday. Fishing was slow untill the darkness decended then shortly after 5pm i got a hell of a thump, picked up the slackline then bang!! 3lb 12oz codling thank you very much next cast samething happened but to no avail. Had a 45cm whiting shortly after that, then the small whitings appeared My mate jimmy had a 38cm whiting and a few smaller ones. All in all a very enjoyable session which atleast produced a codling for myself. Baits used, micowaved blacks, lug, cart and mussle.

Aye, microwaved blacks. I read somewhere yesterday about it so thought i would give them a bash. Microwave individual worms for 8-10 seconds and there original shape and form are restored, they toughen up and stay looking like a worm instead of falling down your snood and ending up in a pile of mush. I thought the same when i read it but my god it works

Aye, they sure do. Give them a bash but keep an eye on them in the microwave or you'll have to get scrubbing

Aye i am mate and absolutly love the rod to bits. My mate even went out and got one, lol. I've had 7 size codling on it and counting
