Well lads after catching my 4-1/2 pounder from the beach few days ago thought I would give it another go. Sea was pretty flat but couple of nice rollers coming in. Used two rods middle of the beach one with clipped down pulley rig and the other 3 hook flapper. Bluey, Macky and defrosted blacks baits for the day.
Baits in water 2.30 pm ish and within a matter of seconds before bites started and it was Whities and good ones at that.
Kept three, gave half a dozen away and released fair few. Called it a day at 7.30 pm.
Best part of the day was helping a fellow angler who was new to the sport and using far to big hooks. I gave him one of my handmade 3 hook rigs and baited it up for him-explaining what he needed for scratching type fishing which can be fun and keep you busy.
Mick.

Good report and well done for helping the lad out. It's easy as a noob to think you'll catch bigger fish if you hang a 7/0 in the water.
