Roker pier 12/02/2012.

Well lads thought i,d have a look down. End of the pier was packed with two compos. I avoided this and set up just before the old barrier about a third of the way up and fished seaward side. Two rods. Met other lad fishing spot called Mick. He was local and gave me some good advice about the pier. One rod was cast out 50 feet (any further and it was very snagg)y Bass rod was left down the side with small hooks.
Bass rod got me three. Nice coalie, Rockling and an undersize codling at 26 cm. All on mackeral.
Big rod zero.
Lads on end did dismal,heard reports as they came off.

Sounds like you did better than the guys on the end, just goes to show the fish can be beneath yer feet.
