fished with a couple of the lads last night some good whiting showing here and there one of the lads that was with us had had 2 casts or so when a big ship went out and took his rod in dragged to far out before anyone could reach it anyone pulls this rod and that in please hand it in at a local tackle shop not sure think its a compressor sport or something like that brand new too and 525 also not upto date with new rods names meself but im sure one the lads on tonight caught the name of it hope he gets it back its the second lot of gear hes lost this season.
he left shortly afterwards for home we managed a few more whiting and dabs the best fish of the night fell to my rod 7lb 11 ounce cod took on fresh blacks and yellowtails

nice cod coddyshame abiout the rod and reel, ive saw this happen twice before and nearly once to me i grabbed it just in time ,but to be honest when youre cast over that way and a boats going past im rod in hand and ready to point towards the boat till me gear snaps,or put reel on cast then it snaps easier when its empty and the boats further away tight lines guys enjoy the fillets coddy oh great hunter of the lurid depths ,AND ERM AV YOU INFORMED CHARLTON PMSL

Nice one Coddy that's a good fish. Shame about the lads gear tho, i remember reading his last post when he lost the lot. Hope he gets lucky and someone pulls it in for him.
