Roker pier 20apr14

Had a good session on roker pier this morning - nothing huge but was good sport.

Fished 7:45 to about 1ish and caught 11 fish in total: 1 palm sized dab, 3 tommies and 7 coleys, biggest about 13-14 inches. Majority of fish took ragworm but a few coleys were caught on mackerel strip.

Was my first time fishing on the pier, having stuck to either the Tyne or wear since taking up sea fishing last sept. Hopefully get a few more sessions in before the pier shuts in June .

Nice one mate. I must have walked past you on the way on. We fished the bunker and then into the harbour, just small stuff all day,

I saw a few lads near the bunker. Everyone looked to be catching coleys today. Did someone get a hagfish? Thought I heard someone shout but it was pretty windy
