roker pier 20th may

got to pier about 4ish was a few macky being caught so put the daylights on and first cast one macky. they started to pull them in 3,4,5 at a time on the end but nowt much where i was so slapped some bait out.

A bit later on i put a one hook 4/0 pully on with a big crab bait then sandeel just to see if there was owt decent hovering about, but no luck there.

left about 11'30 and caught 5 flatties and 3 macky over all,
bait used - lug, macky, crab and prawns.
rigs used - scratching rod, one up one down flapper size 1 hooks -other rod, one hook 4/0 pully

was a good night bit windy but not bad over all.

The barrier at roker is supposed to be canny for pollack

Aye seen some good bags at first light bud plus you aint got the lads who prefer to knock back a case of carling instead of fishn or tryn to do both.
When we came off roker there was 2 lads who'd been on pier earlier who were sitn on next to road well hammered they were giving me hassle to give them a lift home.
