roker pier 27/1/12 = whiting fest

fished last 3 hours of the flood on the left hand side of the round head. used 2 rods one with worm baits and cod rig the other a 2 hook flapper baited with macky. almost every cast either a decent whiting or 2 decent whiting kept 18 for the table that were deeply hooked and chucked more than that number back, great sport with many around the 1lb mark and a few a little bit bigger. didn't matter what bait was used end result was a whiting although macky produced bites much quicker.

Think we got on just after you as one of the lads who was on there said someone left with a bag or 2 of whiteys. They seemed to die off a lot when you left, although I wasn't fishing for them but as you said they were taking anything
