Ha ha ha Aye, I got there about 7pm to fish the barrier, I thought somebody was giving money away up the end, it was like the January sales, I fished until 12pm, had a few rattles, one coalie and a small lobster, both went back in the drink.

Roger that mate ...was on roker towards the top . Fished 7 till 1030. You would think that it was the last day of fishing .. Anyhow set up ..first 2 hours resulted in 4 decent whiting on the flood all well over 30cm . After that nowt went dead and the pier was filling up fast ..basically 2 feet apart , anglers were jumping in. So packed up and grabbed a curry . Overall , not bad , bait used crab, lug, rag, razor, cart, scallop , all no good ..no cod .. Blueys done the damage to whiting.

Me and my 11yr old son fished the drum on Friday night 7 till 12. Loads of good whiting, mostly taken by him  kept 12, (got 3 given, cheers someone) there was one codling taken on the round head an hour before we went home. The bag with the fish in weighed just over 14 lbs! Some of the best whiting I've had this winter! Nice bunch of lads on there as well! :)
