Was up this morning at 7am ,within minutes I was into my very first Mackerel on my Daiwa Wilderness spinning rod, (I'm new to this sea lark) and spent the next 3 hours or so getting a bag of 14 fish.
Fantastic sport on the spinning rod, I had 8lb line on, they really give you a scrap eh!
Weather was spot on and had a grand peaceful day, leaving before any of the idiots I have seen up there before got out of bed. Cracking day and got me wanting a beachcaster and other sea gear.

going to Blyth Pier this evening for (hopefully) some light tackle entertainment (fishing that is)
