Took the kids spinning for mackeral. 1 fish each for the 4 of us. One of the kids caught there fish from the river side of the pier which I thought was unusual? Canny day had by all where to next?

great stuff steve all ways nice to spend a bit time fishing with the young'uns

have seen a few mackeral caught from the bay,including one caught on ragworm as a young lad was reeling in .Just shows that mackeral are not particularly fussy of what they eat as long as it moves in front of them.

Caught one off Shields pier on Thur using a crab bait nailed to the sea bed
