Roker pier:Spinning 6/5/07

Me and my mate went to Roker pier yesterday fishing it up for a bit at around 5 oclock we started getting double shots of coalies on shrimp rigs, and also we had a few launce but no mackeral. Me mate had a plaice about a pound just as the tide turned on runnydown however i do believe if we had fresh luggy or raggy we would have had more success. Altogether we caught 25 coalies,one plaice,one flounder and 8 launce. I don't think it will be long before you start to get mackeral because near the middle of Roker theres loads of sandeels and a few sprat so hopefully they'll be in by the middle or the end of the month.

Nice one matey, lets hope we get some nice settled weather for a while then, cant wait to get out and about with the spinning gear.
