Roker pier today.

Hello guys. Went down today.Took my son and his two mates. It was a bit windy but good on the end as not to crowded. Used two rods and spun. Sons mate caught his first ever fish a nice size Macky. Went quiet even though loads of sprats. Put some white lights on the bigger spinning rod and caught two straight away together.One on the feathers the other on the toby spinner at the bottom. Few more casts and we caught another on the whites. Had a good time for a few hours. Bags packed up and left with our four fish.
Noticed some council type guys on the end of the pier picking up any rubbish.
Placed looked clean and tidy. Lots of people coming along and enjoying the sunshine.
We also got a look at some of the planes practising for the air show. By god they are loud when they pass the end of the pier.
I wondered if my mate was on the police helicopter as it came by and someone int he front waved at me and the kids as we walked along the pier.

Canny fishing boat went past the end of the pier. Everyone was waving at us. It is the big royal navy ship offshore for the airshow. By its big when you see it close up.

Rambo was on the pier yesterday mate not today.
