Ballan Wrasse.

They can come in a variety of colors, bonny fish though and they put up a canny little scrap on the right gear

Cheers Guys, just had my spinning rod with some rag on over the side of the pier and the rod went mad and that was what was on.

My mate had a one at portpatrick 2 weeks ago weighing 3lb 11oz lovely fish

get loads of them down the side wall at south shields pier.a bit of rag worm does the trick.excellent little scrappers on light gear.
