Took my daughter down to Roker pier having promised her loads of fish, as the last couple of times I've bagged up with whitings but it didn't work out that way, at least for me.
It was her first time fishing with a multiplier and first cast she caught a wee whiting, second cast a dab, third cast a coley. I hadn't even had a bite! Things went slow for a while and then she got a wee codling. Then I got a bite, struck it, fish on, and then got well and truly snagged and had to snap it off. Despite getting a few more bites, fortunately for me, there were no more fish caught and the cold got a bit much for her so we left the back of seven. Apparently there was wager and I now owe her a chinese meal!!!!!!!!
I don't know if he is a member on here but I would like to say thanks again to the guy who gave my daughter the heat pads to warm up her hands. It was really appreciated and she kept using them until we were half way home.
