Am I correct in thinking roker pier has been reopened?

it hasnt m8 we went down last night and it was closed
It was only opened for the comp, and it's closed again until they finish the repairs, then it's open to the public apparently.
I have just spoken to the resorts office and the reply was as follows;-
The pier was open for the competition on Sunday and closed at the end of the comp.Monday they were expecting to fit the new gates with a large crane then have the pier reopen to the public.They said they are waiting for the crane to arrive to fit the gates some time this week(probably dependant on the wind),If not then a health and safety officer will visit the pier to ascertain if it is safe enough to allow the pier to be opened to the general public with the existing gates.SO FINGERS CROSSED
