Is the pier ever going to open?The last two dates I was given have now past,the council and port authority will not answer my emails.Is there some hidden agenda?

I was talking to a lad from the council on Saturday morning. He reckoned the work was complete but that there was still about two weeks of work on the tunnel. Just a question of whether or not they could safely work at the same time as allowing the public to have access.

was told day n half work to do so times that by 2 of the contractors normal days shifts

It was open and rammed for the comp on 4th Dec. But seems to have been shut ever since.

It's obvious what they doing, they makeing job last till Xmas hols so they don't have to start another job before hols n move gear to another job as well, very cute, council are a waste of space

have to agree its taken a hell of a long time to undertake repairs to roker pier
wonder if its the same firm that did the resuface work to the decking
