roker tonight

Was on roker tonight at the round and it was flat as hell and pretty dead. Left bout 10 as the wind decided to pick up more.

There's 2 pup seals on the last steps on the bay side of the pier and a few had noticed them, 1 looks a bit incapacitated with the other guarding. I phoned RSPA so they could come check on them but in short they didnt seem that bothered really and told me to go back tomorrow and see if they are still there, so if anyone is on tomorrow and see's them give them a bell please. There was deffo no adults around just these 2 pups which is a bit unusual.

yeah ya get quiet a few seals on there, i think the last time the rspca were out they just stuck a sign up asking people to stay away from them

there was one there last year my mate gets very hungry at times was trying to tice it closer but unfortunatly too many witnesses

its fairly common for them to pop around I just hope they dont get pestered or maybe someone dog decides to take a chunk from them. I couldnt fancy eating 1 like :s all that blubber lol

Think the one in the piccy was there months on end from March until october or something, so two more seal pups have recently been on the steps wonder why this is. Think there was a notice on pier last time saying please do not disturb seals as they are just resting or something like that. Porposies have also been hanging around Roker pier lately especially when theres been big fish caught both porpoises and Seals must be coming inshore to feed on fish.
