Used it for over a year, really good stuff, i'm going onto tapered leaders now as i'm getting a bit sick of satitary products catching my leader knot haha

Tapered leaders are great if you are fishing clean ground and very rarely crack-off. But anywhere that you might get snagged up then at about £7 for 5 leaders they get very expensive very quickly.

(I used to use tapered leaders almost exclusively when I lived down south and fished the shingle beaches. Since moving home I now only use parallel leader as even on the "clean" beaches (Horden, Lynemouth south etc) there is always a chance of finding a random snag)

Asso tapered in 70lb mega stuff as is the bullet tapered,but like mentioned is expensive if your fishing the real ruff stuff.
The blue marlin is very very good,been using it for my rig bodies these last few weeks/mnths,knots incredibley well n is really supple,i know paul rants n raves about it,but it is true,proper gear,dosen't kink when u knot it n certainlly is strong stuff.
Reckon it would be good for your leader too,it's my number one rig body material now...

I've been using tapered leaders for a while now but I'm getting ****ed right off with them snapping below the knott. Going to switch to straight leader once I find and learn a decent knott cos i think a back to back uni will be too big for my liking. One of my mates uses a Bimini twist but it's a right clart on to tie.

Spider hitch is all I use and it's not quite as strong as the bimmini but 100 times easier

Everyone has their favourite knot. Being old-school I still use the knot I was using 25 years ago - the overhand / uni-knot combo. Dead simple to tie and plenty strong enough for most fishing...

I use the Rovex leader, had no problems at all. Knots well and no tangles, good enough for me. I've just started using the spider hitch, great knot while out fishing but I use the bimini when tying a leader at home.

Is the blue stuff better than the yellow or clear?
I always use clear rig body but fancy getting some Marlin for leader and rigs.
