These may be of interest to Norman and his crew, and Richie..in fact anyone who uses Royal quays marina, its amazing to see how the area has been re-developed over the years,

Just a small area involved in the making Tynes history, the river is a fascinating place.
 
Nice one Tommy, great pics ... see the old clock tower (still at Royal quays) is prominent in the first pic ... :thumbup:
 
Re. the first picture (circa 1937). We used to fish the wharf where the cranes 'run', in the 60's/early 70's, it was an excellent mark until sumbugga decided to have a dump in the crane cabin.

That was the end of fishing on that quay.

Great Photo`s - has anyone got any when this area was bombed in the war ??

and isnt it great to see Alan Charlton ,talking to them three blokes ,probs asking when the boats are due back with some mackerel - :D:D:D
