Just getting back into my fishing and someone has recommended joing Seaham Club. Anyone give me any feedback about it as just looking to get out amongst fellow minded anglers and not sure if this best route? Also fishing from the pier is it best to use rotten bottom gear - hope to hear from you?

Alreet markt seaham sea angling clubcany set of lads most of them will help anybody out if possible. membership runs from january till december senior membership £30-00 /junior membership£15-00(no key for under 16 year olds).you need 2 passport size photo's there is no part year menbership so if you join say september it only runs till end of december.all members recieve a key for pier gate liability insurance cover tide table and rule book.
pier is mixed ground the first 40-50 pegs from the gate is rough ground the next 35 pegs is mixed to clean ground pegs1-15 heavy ground deffo rotten bottom rigs.pier fishes all year round for quite a few different species,dabs,whiting soles,gurnards,dogfish,thornback ray,spotted ray.pout,mackerel,coal's,launce,plaice,turbot,smoothhound etc hope this helps
