s.s. pier or the walkway

as above which one is fishing best at the moment ?
i know the seas a bit flat and small tides , but going to give one of them a go 2 hours before high water tomorrow morning

Walkway is best for smaller tides imo less pull. And apparently its fishing well

On Friday two of us didn't get a bite in two hours at the Walkway.
On the Slab before the first gate on the pier we had plenty bites but only landed one fish.

Been alot more fish out of the river at the moment, and better stamp of fish too. As said before walkway fishes at its best with smaller tides, which we have at the moment.

Also depending on what state of tide your fishing, its best to fish the middle and top end on a flooding tide, and the bottom end between the jetties on an ebbing tide, but small and medium tides can and do pay dividens here...

Am never one to hold grudges mate. To be honest when a looked the next day at what we posted a laughed at how much we acted daft! Like two fighting kids over a shiny new toy!

if ya like whiting or flounder 2 hook flapper if ya like codling pennel rig but ya will also catch other species the pulley rig wasnt invented just for cod

Try both. On one hand been some good codling caught, on the other hand, there's a lot of good whiting about too.

If ya fishing two rods then ya sorted one rig on one rod, the other rig on the other rod. Personally I'd stick to pennel rigs, because if the codling come in well with the tide, and that odd good fish appears, at least you know if ya hook one good'un there's two hooks in it for a better hook hold.

It's up to u though as your the one fishing, I'm stuck in the house bored oot me mind!

Don't know about the f****n walkway mate but fished shields at 42 yesterday and after 14:00 got a whitey every chuck. Stamp was about 3/4 to the lb mark all on frozen crab. Nowt else but whitey, for me anyway

A certainly would but unfortunately duty calls tomorra. Got work on most of the day . Am still debating whether or not to fish me cleadon club match, as a want to keep most me dosh for the open this coming sunday.

go and fish the post ron ,fishes well on the last couple of hours rough ground loose a bit gear but a chance of a nice fish.give it a go .

wheres the post darren? ive only fished the walkway once dont have a clue
