S/S Pier

Fished the from the car park as I didn't take my rod stand because I was walking back home, Pier was absolutely rammed and I seen my mate fishing from the car park so I decided to stay put and use the railings as my rod rest .

My mate then went to another spot and I decided to stay put and try my luck.. Payed off within 5 minutes of him leaving pull in a Coalie of 1lb caught on straight frozen blacks. Then then re-baited same bait and within 15 mins nice knock on the rod and a slack liner so scrambled down the steps reeling quickly as hell and hooked in to what I knew was a coddy, Managed to get it up the side and on the floor only for the hook to fall straight out as it was only JUST hooked.

I was talking to a bloke who was going fishing further up just after I started fishing and his mate was walking back off the pier and offered to give me a lift home, Top man! Cheers, Didn't catch his name

Over the moon like as I didn't expect to catch anything from were I was, And it's my first sized codling from the north east Hopefully not my last either.
