After a 7.00 start down the marina to sort out all my bits and bobs into the storage lockers, a wash down, an hour of having my head in the plotter and f/finder manuals, the afternoon was free to do a sea trial with a bit of fishing thrown in..:)

Phoned Deano to see if he fancied a look out, and got the usual reply :D so off we set in an attempt to get the boat bloodied...:)

I wasnt really expecting mush with the wind gusting pretty strong, but i deployed the secret weapon (Drouge)...and the lines steadied and the fish started to come in a steady stream, with Deano as usual, getting the first cod on board the new boat

Martin was out there as well, and had a really good time with plenty fish, also first trip out for his son, who told me he caught the 2 biggest fish

We kept 12 and many were returned, mainly the first cod as a jesture to the sea gods from the new boat...:)

But today was about the boat really, it was nice ploughing through a chop with the wipers going while tucked inside the cabin on a comfy seat...:)

Not many pics, but one of a bloodied deck...

And a bucket of fish...:)

Great to see you got out and christened her, I was given a drogue last year but haven't attempted to use yet.......maybe I should have tried it! I was off Ryhope in the morning and could see a few boats off Seaham wondered if one was you?

Well done a decent first trip and here's to many happy hours cleaning blood off that deck.

Great result there Chris new boat lovely day and a few fish to make it all worthwhile.

Will see you out at sea soon lol
