SAPPHIRE hit the cod big on sunday, a run off from 8 miles to 14 miles seen cod from 6lb to 18half lb, yes cod was the go from start to finsh the last wreck 14 miles off we took over 60 cod come"n up two at a time we had 8lb 10lb 12lb 14lb the best of the day 18 half lb, 9 anglers went home very happy, Saturday we wer out big sea NW wind still some good cod the around 10lb bout 25 for the day,

Fishing on the Sapphire 10th June

I was one of the lucky anglers that was fishing on board the Sapphire on Sunday. It was my first trip with Peter and i thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it as it was me who caught the 18.5lb cod.
I have been fishing for over 35 years but only been out on a boat about dozen times. So to say this was my best days fishing is a understatement.
Peter was excellent from start to finish as he never stops trying to locate the fish and his knowledge is second to none.
There was a good set of lads fishing that day and i think we all enjoyed the days fishing apart from 1 chap who suffered from sea sickness for the whole day (Keep off the alcohol the night before i think).
So i finish off by saying thank you Peter for a great days fishing that i'll not forget.
