Had a great day today with Mr Skinner, caught a load of cod upto 6lb on the shad, fished the wrecks this morning when it was wind against tide giving us some nice drifts then came in on the ground when the tide turned and it went "BALLISTIC" they were coming in 2 at a time with the lads on daylites, hokis etc, every drop with a shad resulted in fish. The sweep was shared 2 lads had 10lb lings. Weather wasnt too bad had t shirt on this morning, sea had a bit swell and chop, wet though by the end of the day, just finished filleting as we passed the groyne...Happy days

Aye it was Jester, even if we hadnt gone in on the ground i still
had a canny bag of fish, funny thing though on my way down to Mill Dam i had a feeling it was going to be one of those long days with not a lot happening... Thats fishing

Aye Russ, i always go to sea being a bit optomistic, then when it turns out good it makes it all that much better.
