Had a canny day yesterday with Allan, turned right out of the piers and headed south, weather beautiful all day,sea like a mill pond apart from 45 mins light rain and breeze early afternoon. Fish coming aboard every wreck but 1, prob about 70 fish in total, i ended up with 8 cod best about 7lb and a pollock all caught on the shads, plenty of ling about for the lads using bait, 12.5 lb ling won the sweep. Fingers crossed for a nice spell of weather, may try and sneak out back end of the week. Nice to see that theres some fish about in the rest of the reports!

Yer it looked a good day for wrecking, with wind against tide the drift was 0.2-0.6 most of the day.

Forgot to mention, one of the lads had a cat fish 6/7lb, it was great being out there when the weather looked terrible on land. Aye Richy sometimes it was too good and we were hardly moving at all, was that Brian out with you on sunday?

Sounds like a great trip out, nice to see the wrecks are starting to fish. Was it a blackish fish with protruding teeth, ugly as out, if it was, it's called a wolf fish. Good post. Arthur

Much as I like a bit of variety, I wouldn’t want to catch one of those. Did you count all your fingers were still there after unhooking it?

Nice one Norm, what weight was that one!. We had one off Whitley quite a few years ago at 13lb 5ozs, ripped a fishing creel to pieces
