Saved from a blank!

South shields pier this morning, thought I would fish the tide up. Got out of bed to find some sunshine and no wind in Gateshead, by the time I had got down the coast it was dark, windy as hell and a heavy surf running. Tried the end with no success before moving down to 44. Couple of hours with othing to show for it before last cast I wound in a small Plaice, maybe 1/2lb lol. Returned to fight another day and at least it saved me from a blank!

Nice one mate, although it sounds a mare. The weather is horrid down here atm, on my way fishing yesterday I was having second thoughts like the wind was real bad.
