Scarborough, Filey, Whitby

Hi, Lynn and I are off to Reighton Sands mid October, We have 2 charters booked out of Whitby, but also want to do a bit of shore fishing too. Had a search on here and Cayton Bay, Filey Brigg and Robin Hood's Bay seem popular, but never having been to that neck of the woods, could anyone give me some advice on these areas (or others) and what tactics might work best. Any from a list of Flatties, Codling, Pollock or Bass would be good, or am I just kidding myself??
