Please pm if you like

hi jimbob, you could give eyemouth a shot in may below the caravan site, or under the cannons good for early codling, but also take some spinning gear, as there will be numerous coalys to be had off the point same set up as with mackerel in the summer, try to get a bit crab for the cod, but take some rag as well, if this all fails try a float close in for wrasse and pollack. hope you squeeze a session in tight lines korky...

Korky how do you get down under the cannons? i was there last year and could see a fella fishing but didnt no how to get down ?

You could also try coldingham, find scoutscroft holiday park, take first right just past entrance follow road to carpark and fish off rocks either side of beach, had some cracking plaice from the righthand side, best bait rag tipped with mack, hope this helps.
steve.

f.a.o. boots, you can access the cannons at eyemouth from the caravan site on top, either by the entrance side by a small mud track ,or further round through site but take care as both ways down should exercise caution, especially when wet. however its not a bad spot when you get down, if you find the coalys you can expect a bonanza, with cod & pollack & wrasse showing as well all the best korky..

ok being a jock lad born and bread i would say the west coast mate. if you want decent fishing head towaeds the MOG ( mull of galloway) or up north to the outer west coast likes of loch sunnart of loch carren. you will pick up good fish and spurs in double figures and skate in triple figures. avoid the east coast mate as it has been over fished for years and the west sea locks the boats will not head into.

loch etive is good but the tide is a killer there so arme yourself with some heave grip leads. not a long cast required as your are in 200ft of water 50 ft from the shore.

have a good trip mate and enjoy the country. but watch out for the mating haggis they will have your leg off in a flash
