hi all back from scotland today.had a great time.the scenery out of this world. the weather fair. the midgies horrendos. the fishing well what can i say.thousands of mackerel.anywhere anytime.bucket loads just left at the piers. lots undersize some 2lb to 3lb.pollock the biggest i seen get caught must of been about seven pound from a lock.tobermory fantastic place.no fish though.oban the same.my new cmc rod cracking,just wish i could of christened it with a big fish.so whats the final verdict.well for a holiday great. for fishing, nots so good, for me anyway.met some great lads their. all had a story about the one that got away after few pints.then on the second last day i watched a local fishermen from a boat bring a scate in like i had never seen before it was massive, a good 40 to 50lb easy and when i talked to him he explained that was only small compared to some skate caught in these waters. what a fish though.well back home sick as a parrot work tomorrow, what can i say. :red:
