as i have just read in the post about changing lynmouth i thought i would put this warning up to make sure all you lads and lasses who fish lynmouth beach at the back of alcan take care and keep a watch out for the contractors. while talking to one of the lads on the site, he told me of two lads a week or two ago he could have killed very easy. he had been told by his boss to move some cocrete or stone and dump it over the back where the sea deffence is going to be. as he was doing this and judging by the size of his truck that i saw he was driving this would have been a ton or more he noticed two tips of rods and stopped . there were two lads fishing next to the bank where he had been told to tip. if he had not seen these rod tips ( lads baiting up or changing rigs etc ) they might have been seriously hurt or killed.
this is what this guy told me so i would be very wary fishing there at the moment until the sea deffence is in place. take care anyone who does fish there and keep your eyes and ears open when the lads are working. it would be terrible if anything was to happen to any anglers and the same for any contractor just doing his job.
