Is there anywhere You can Buy Mackerel strips from during the Winter, or do You have to catch it and freeze it in the Summer :question:

I've used Rag, Lug, Mackerel and Razor :exclam:
Heard Lads mentioning loads of other stuff, BLUEY, RUNNYDOWN etc... Any chance you could let me know of a few and when and where they work bast..

Most tackle shops will have frozen mackerel and you will be able to get some fresh from your local supermarket.

yeah all major super markets have mackrel. best if u can take wat ever bait you can wen ya out like it. i all ways take wat ever i can get my hands on try differnt baits wen other baits dont work try sum others . !!!!!

Runny down is gutted and frozen yellow tail lugwom, also known as blacks/blacklug. Its a good bait to have in your freezer for when you cant get fresh worms.
Bluey is a fish bait like mackeral, ive herd that its more oily than mackeral so more effective. some people prefere it over mackeral some don't.

its best if you buy ya own & cut it into strips ya self,i prefer to cut them into 1 & half inch long by half inch wide,about 2 to 3 inches of worm,(SNAP WORM IF HAVE TO) worm on 1st then mackerel then bout six turns of elastic cotton,very effective.ps horden beach been very good whiteys & flatties.
