i have got the engine numbers off my seagull outboard how do i now identify when it was made & engine size etc

does it have a clutch and does it have forwards and reverse gears??

There is a Seagull owners forum on the net ran by a Guy called Peter!

They can give you ALL the info you may need and are a great source of spares too. I have a Clutched version that has seen no more than 8 hours of fresh water use from new. It was still in a Seagul duffle bag when I got it with a Yacht. The duffel bag had seen better days as had the tank but i Binned the bag and purchased a Brass tank and this thing managed to move a 17 foot cabin cruiser round the estuary no problem at all.
