Well decided that I was sick ov the ex wife, women in general, kids, work and Football,so got some runnydown and frozen crab out the garage, to drive the 2 minutes to the Hall Beach and have a little session on my last rest day.
Had already checked out the water this morning and it was looking good, had calmed right off and loads ov colour.
Got there this afternoon about 2.30pm,with the tide just dropping and chucked out a pennal loaded with 3 runnydown, within 10 mins the water was massive, with more white water than an Hawaii surfboard championship and Northerly winds that would frighten the American Crab Fishermen.
Reeled in after 20minutes ov watchin me rod bounce in the wind like a wizards wand, to find hooks bare.
Chucked out a runny down and frozen crab bait nxt, and again My WR300 was giving it 'what for' in the wind and surf, ''No good this'' I thought so after 30mins began to reel in a load ov weed, (I thought), and out ov the surf comes a 4lb 12oz codling(measured on digi scales)
Im yet to see the bite, or even feel the fight, but had another chuck, which returned with nothing..Decided to pack in when a Milk crate went past me head in the wind, unless it was the local hoodees, avin a go..:p
Fish was returned to fight another day, until it is caught in some trawlers nets, and has to be chucked back in dead, due to the Goverments fish Quota.......:o

Blackrat well done on the fishing but returning a five pounder i could,nt do that unless the fridge was chocca with cod.

Blackrat i usually take me old bloke out for his dinner down the pool. He,s massively handicapped so he loves a couple of hours out. Loves sitting in the motor whilst i have a mooch round the tackle shop.
