Well went to NETS and got a couple of packets of rag, lug and also some mussel, excellent worm from there. Anyway headed down to the pier about 8.00. Walking along i saw plenty of whiting being pulled in and also a dogfish, which was a canny size. Walked to just before the end on mark 10. set up and cast out a rag and lug cocktail, Nothing happening, everyone around me were pulling in small whitings and coaleys. Got to 10.20 and hadn't even had a sniff. Decided to chuck a lug rag and mussel on for my last cast. Cast it out and poured myself a coffee. soon as i had my first drink the rod pulled over then sprung back, with slack line. Pulled into the fish, felt pretty heavy so knew it wasnt a whiting or coaley. Pulled it up the side of the pier and was rewarded with a lovelly clean 6lb codling. This is bigger than i had all last season and its only October, hopefully this is going to be a good year. Well chuffed:red:

I there was a few on. probably about 15 people. All i saw caught was whiting coley and a dogfish.

Jammy sod 6lb codling what a lovely fish.

Can i ask where is Nets.

I am thinking about joining The club at Seaham but am a bit unsure as i have only ever been to Seaham a couple of times.
One of them was when everyone was kicking off on the carnival day.

Ta Mick.
