The pier's been fishin' canny lately but usually after dark.

You've got a high tide of around 3.30 today, so, if you get there around the two -o-clock mark, you'll be able to fish the last of the flood in the daylight and the ebb in the dark, which gives you a real good chancs of lifting one of those elusive green and grey monsters.

we will be fishing from 12.30 dinnertime until about 5.30pm so we should be in the slot you mentioned ,thanks for that ---Karl

Well once again the gods were against us ,conditions were very good ,we had all types of bait but nothing seemed to work .We fished from 1.30pm until 6.45pm at the spiles,only had a few small bites between us ,but again no fish,late on in the sechion [5 min before we were to leave] i got a couple of good whitey bites ,but no fish .As i was leaving a couple of lads came to fish the pier and i told them that i had to go but i have just had a couple of good bites ,they said they would have my spot, if it was you can you please let me know how you got on ---thanks Karl

bad luck mate, least you gave it a go, im really supprised we aint seen a fair lot of whiting seem to show as yet, this time last year they stopped me blanking
