any you lads/lasses been fishing seaham spiles this week ? going down this Thursday never been fishing there before with me m8 paul.
just a day out in the fresh air with some casting practice chucked in
well will give it a try anyway ,been told to take some old sinkers as the bottom is a grave yard for tackle..
we tend to go to roker or ssp but its the walk along shields pier that nacks you up even before you start fishing.
just we have never fished there before apart from the beach at the other end of seaham. thanks for the info lads most appreciated.
I was down there yesterday and got chatting to a lad who was just dropping baited hooks over the side. Flatties and whities. Not big but certainly has him smiling
thanks lads for the advice but need to give the place a try out if no good we will not go again , seaham angling club has been fishing there for years so there is something going for the place.
will let you know how we get on, if any nesa member down there on Thursday pop over and say hello cant miss me big grey bikers tash old fart that will be me
Prior to 2 years back the Spiles was a great mark in a big Sea. Sadly all the Sand has been washed away leaving very rough ground & its now a frustrating spot to fish. Rotton bottoms don't save the day either.
