I Know the north pier is private but what about the south pier? is there any access on to there?

just get ye self on mate, there is a fence, but people just climb over, nobody gets bothered at all, just a case of respecting the dock company and you will be ok. Ive been on probably 50 times in the last 3 years and not been moved once.

As Falcone says mate, you're not supposed to fish on there!!

Make sure you take plenty sinkers as it's snaggy. Produces good cod in the winter and some cracking coalies in the summer, mackerel aren't that plentiful though.

DONT CLIMB FENCES .that is how you will get chucked off and everyone else.you can get around on the bolders then get onto the wall ,dont go over the wall.then walk along and down just round the corner,please keep out of dock areas.

Couldn't agree more.
We had to fight long and hard to get the North Pier back, would hate to think we lost access again because of Anglers breaking Dock Company rules.

Well said Kenny....it's advice like that, that gives anglers a bad name....

We're all quick enough to point the finger at authorities when they deny access - but then we're being told in no uncertain terms to "just climb the fence mate, they're not bothered..."

Hopefully the junior anglers reading this site, will act responsibly over the coming summer hols....

can i also point out that he did say and i quote "just a case of respecting the dock company and you will be ok". Does this not imply that you need to act responsibly?
