after looking at tides and weather most of the week i took the chance for a run up to seahouses to fish the rocks behind the caravan site. avrived at high water and it was a big tide so all the rocks i have seen before were not there and the big skeer was well covered but enough to fish off, after about half an hour and while chatting to paul got a canny knock so hung up and tried to catch it but with no luck, bait stripped but all gear back in tact, well that was the story for the night every cast i was getting decent knocks but not conecting no.gif . eventually i conected and pulled in a small 1lb or so red cod, it was to small to keep so after a bit of A&E in a rock pool for a good ten min it was nice and lively again so off it went no problems, well that was it for the night apart from another couple of knocks.
got chatting to a lad from york who was up there with his boat, he does a bit of diving and boat fishing and was saying he had seen some big cod off some of the wrecks off the farne islands, we had a bit craic then i left for home for some food which is burning by the smell.(back in five with some pics)

only fish of the night ( the first one was the wrong fish and the quality of this one is not to good

Hello Mark.

Just came back after a week at seahouses in a caravan.

Lad on local boat for daytrippers was telling me he does not bother with the wreck fishing as the main type of visitor was divers around the wrecks so it could be dangerous to fish.
If i had my own boat i,d be down there like a shot.

Mick.
