I normally fish druridge beach only ever catch small flatties, ive got the fishing bug this year though and im out to catch me some cod but ive got little to noidea.can anyone give me any tips for where to fish(got a motor so i can travel round), what to use, what rigs, what part of the tide to fish and that? also im gonna fish alnmouth estuary for some flatties aswell soon ive heard its decent sport, any particular baits working well there? cheers for the help people!

well if ya in the creswell area get down to lyne burn either back of the power stn or cross waters ie left of the river both areas will produce fish
if you prefer sandy beaches give cambois a go mainly 2 hrs to low but normally any state of the tide will do if there hungry
just remember if its calm dont fish a spider let it roll around a bit and find the fish for you

generally are we talking long range casts? will i lose much gear? sorry about the questions i just like knowing me info before i go, dont wanna go and make a tit of meself do i. will probably fish from low tide and ill be using lug and rag.. fingers crossed

best thing to do mate is go check out where u wanna fish in the light at low water and it gives u a much better idea of how to fish that area, at low water just look for features and where the sand bars have formed coz these are the areas that will hold the bits and pieces and food, so u want to be fishing into these
