not based on rose coloured spectacles or anything of that sort, but based on the last couple of seasons catches and also on some of the magnificent shore catches I`ve seen ...... I reckon it`s gonna be a bumper 2009.

i mainly use circle hooks for bait fishing - best ones in my opinion are the mustad g points sharp as anything. also have some longline circles that are dead cheap but great when scratching around for whities etc.

got to admit, fancy trying a couple of different tactics..but as most people know you get caught up in the moment of not wanting to miss a drift so revert to what you know

have to say simple feathers caught the majority of the Cod for me this year with pirks picking out the better specimens

we did try anchoring and uptiding last season tony (whilst iron man Frank Stien was laid up) and the results were good ...... roll on april

I only tried it for flatties and never did that well, maybe over rough ground or a feature my prove more luck...looking forward to this year if all goes well.
